How do I find what version of directx that I have, and where do I find
the latest ver. (9, I believe)? TIA

click run
type dxdiag
click ok

(that'll tell ya what version you have)

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/

(9.0a is newest verion, that is where you get updates)
