Default Rectangles, rectangles and more rectangles!

OK, I wasn't seeing Balloons. I was seeing rectangles and thought they were
referred to as balloons.

These rectangles appear on top of what your mouse cursor goes over and
generally duplicate what you probably already see.

Anywhere on the bottom bar, system tray or task bar - everything, a
rectangle will pop up on top of whatever icon is there and show it's name.
Menu bars, task bars, navigation bars, search bars almost any bar where
there is an icon.

In a browser program such as FireFox, when the cursor goes over a bookmark
it duplicates the name of the bookmark.

Maybe someone has a real name for these?

Aha! Now if I could just find out how to turn them off. A couple hours of
Googling got me a lot of esoteric techno babble.

Thanks

Yes, those are both the same thing. I _have_ tried them - in fact the
settings are still in there. But the little irritating boxes still chase my
mouse curser around.

Thanks.

Yes, that's the same one as JD posted, only from a different place. I've
found that one all over the internet, but it doesn't kill the peripatetic,
mentally challenged rectangles.

Thanks
