Good finds from the search:

A list of the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) time servers that are
available on the Internet
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262680

Finding A Time Server

To save you some time, maybe, here are a few [public] time-servers that I use :

time-a.nist.gov (129.6.15.28)
time-b.nist.gov (129.6.15.29)
time.windows.com (207.46.232.182)
ntp.asql.co.uk (82.68.206.125)
chronos.csr.net (194.35.252.5)
time.nist.gov (192.43.244.18)

==

Cheers, Tim Meddick, Peckham, London. :-)

And thank you for posting that you have had a satisfactory answer to your original
query.

Very decent of you, as not everyone does.
