Default DHTML editing control for applications in W7?

Hi all: I've just loaded an older program on a new system running W7, and
get a message advising that the program needs DHTML editing control for
applications. The MS site has a download but says its for Vista. Can the
download program also be utilized in W7? If not, is there any other way to
provide what the older program needs? I've run the compatibility wizard,
which sets it for XP/SP2, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem.
Thanks for your replies.

Lots of Vista software works fine on Win 7, so maybe you could try it.

Back up or create a restore point first, for safety's sake.
