Automatic Restore Point
I Have Win7 Home Premium 64 bit
I notice that my computer creates an Automatic Restore Point - System - every seven days and I am wondering what particular practical use that point is to me as there are many other Restore Points shown in respect of updates. |

It's an automated task so that you always have a recent restore point regardless of recent updates or other actions that may setoff a system backup. This way if maybe you have auto updates off you still have a system restore point created every X number of days. |

There's no such thing as too much chocolate or too many restore points, but if it really bothers you, you can turn off the scheduled backups. Open Control PanelBackup and Restore and look in the left column for "Turn off schedule." Or you can change the schedule to less frequent automatic backups. -- Crash I always thought Mensa was a Japanese import. |

I am happy with things as they are, but just trying to get a better understanding of why this and that. It makes sense now. Thanks everyone. |
