Default to disable internet explorer

madeline that only removes the internet explorer shortcuts
such as in the start menu... so can someone please tell me
how to disable or delete internet explorer?

I agree with Malke, your PC appears to be infected.

However if you insist
on disabling Internet Explorer go:
StartControl PanelAdd or Remove Programs in the left

column click on
Add/Remove Windows Components, when the page opens,

uncheck the box
alongside "Internet Explorer" then click on "Next".

how do you disable or delete internet explorer(v6)? i need
to get rid of it because it wont stop running which i

know
it is because when i control+alt+delete i see
iexplore.exe running in system processes. also my auto
update is malfunctioning it just keeps repeating the same
update even after i have downloaded and installed it, so i
had to disable it unfortunately. feed back is much
appreciated, cheers.

You don't need to disable Internet Explorer; you need to

clean up your
computer. What does a scan with a current antivirus

program (meaning a
version not earlier than 2002 and using updated virus

definitions)
show?

Windows Explorer uses the same code as Internet Explorer...even if you
uninstall it, it will still exist on your system.
