Default Advanced no Performance Counters Listed!!!

I changed a nic and a few other things and then I noticed that in the
performance counters the list is EMPTY!
I noticed this becase I use samurize (from samurize.com) to monitor cpu ram
and network.
see SCREENSHOT:

I have seen some perf. monitors being disabled in the past and I used a
ulitity called exctrlst.exe to re-enable them

however this time something has gone horribly wrong... I cant seen to find
an answer anywhere.. and I am seriously thiking about formating!

A system restore I tried didnt help.. but Im not sure if I went back enough

any ideas?

I resolved the problem by restoring 2 files as documented he

http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-1222945.php

and here http://www.dotnet247.com/247referenc...51/255103.aspx

from the first link:

in short, copy the two files:
http://www.calforums.com/perfc009.dat
http://www.calforums.com/perfh009.dat

into %Systemroot%\System32\

that's all
