Default Windows Explorer View

Suddenly I cannot save a folder view which shows the file tree along the
left side
using "apply to all folders". Any idea what's happening?

Thx for the help.

Anyone have a guess what's going on? I have very vague recollection that
there is a limit on the number of
folders that XP can handle. Could that be the problem?

Windows Explorer is a file manager application that is included with releases of the Microsoft Windows operating system from Windows 95 onwards. It provides a graphical user interface for accessing the file systems. It is also the component of the operating system that presents many user interface items on the monitor such as the taskbar and desktop. Controlling the computer is possible without Windows Explorer running (for example, the File | Run command in Task Manager on NT-derived versions of Windows will function without it, as will commands typed in a command prompt window). It is sometimes referred to as the Windows Shell, explorer.exe, or simply “Explorer”.

Windows File Explorer is a File Manager for Windows Similar to Windows Explorer. But Windows File Explorer uses a different approach: it features many options that Microsoft's Windows Explorer is missing like Image Preview and it has two fixed file views side by side (but can be change to a single file view) that is useful when copying many files from folder to folder.

Windows Explorer is an replacement for the file manager, windows explorer was first introduced in window 95 for the replacement of file manager, it can be opened from the My computer icon by double clicking it, it is also located in the start menu.

The Windows Explorer was first included with Windows 95 as a replacement for the Windows 3.x File Manager. It could be accessed by double-clicking the new My Computer desktop icon, or launched from the new Start Menu that replaced the earlier Program Manager.
