Unread message not there!
Whenever I start XP I get a message on the start up screen, telling me I
have an unread message. I use Incredimail for my email and have no unread messages. I only buse OE for newsgroups. Can someone tell me how to get rid of the message? Thanks |

Hi
You can get rid of that message: Download TweakUI from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx and when installed go to ProgramsPowertoys for Windows XPTweak UI - then go to LogonUnread Mail - disable it in the right hand pane. Otherwise the Unread Mail message can be disabled via the Registry - navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic*rosoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\*UnreadMail\[Y*ouremailaddress] - double click on 'MessageCount' - in the right hand pane - and change the value to 0(Zero). -- Will Denny MS-MVP Shell/User Please reply to the News Groups "ray" wrote in message ... Thanks The easiest way is to download and install TweakUI: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx There is a place where you can disable the unread messages display on the Welcome screen.
