Default Color Profiles

Can somebody please help me with the color profile settings? On my monitor, the greens look black. Most colors are a bit too dark. I have a MultiSync LCD 1525V monitor. I have a bunch of color profile files (*.icc). Can somebody please suggest a couple of profile that will provide generally acceptable colors? I don't need high accuracy, as I do only minimal graphics work.

Thank you.
