Default Still photos and Moviemaker

I am new to all this. I have hundres of still photos I would like to
organize into format that will present each photo, transition between
subjects, add music and audio.

My question is can I use moviemaker to do this with still photos or does it
work only with videos? If it won't work what is the easiest software
avaliable that will do this
