Default Will not connect

Hi,
have the same problem as an issue raised earlier.
Until yesterday could connect to Messenger 6.1 with no
problems but am now getting the message on the lines
of "make sure you are connected to the internet" of which
I am.
I have tried all the answers given by Jonathan Kay and it
will still not connect.
What is going on?

TIA
Gaz

p.s.
Can log in to MSN website with no probs.

I see that by reading these posts I am not the only one having this problem of trying to log on to mesenger and hotmail. It seems to be a very common problem. I too have tried the methods listed ny Jonathan Kay...had to do it twice now! Obviously it is
not the solution we are all looking for and I hope Microsoft cn come up with a solution to end this problem once and for all.

Looks like going back to Yahoo mesenger might be the only
answer, shame really as I quite liked MSN messenger.
