Default Nook questions

I recently bought a Nook.

I had some problems, so I sent emails to Barnes and Noble, but got no response.

These are some of the problems I have had.

1. Keyboard does not respond. I oftentimes can not exit an application. I have to shut it down.

2. I bought a NIV study bible, but 2 weeks later, it was no longer in my library.
( $ 34 is no small sum. :-) )

3. I sent Barnes and Noble an email about it, but they did not respond.

4. I bought a 32 Gb memory card, but was not able to save anything to it.

Thanks for your time and consideration,

Andy

Not Windows XP, or Windows of any kind. Not even close.

That has not stopped others from posting. :-)

Folks here are really helpful.

I have already tried your links, and no response.

Maybe some public embarrasement might get some "oil on the wheel."

:-)

Take care,
Andy

Andy,

Just because some people behave like they do not care where they dump their
questions does not mean you should too :-( (something in that regard your
mother surely has told you long ago)

Folks here are really helpful.

Yep. Like Nil, who tried to educate you that you should not do something
like this. Like me, who did the same (on another, equally unrelated to the
newsgroup, post).

There is a *reason* we have lots of different news groups. If you wish to
ignore the reason to that than nobody will be able to stop you, but the end
result will probably be that you end up in several killfiles, meaning that
even questions that really do belong in a certain newsgroup will not be seen
& answered by those people anymore. Ever thought about that ?

I have already tried your links, and no response.

Maybe some public embarrasement might get some "oil on the wheel."

Yeah, why don't you go kick the neighbours dog, maybe that act will get your
neighbour to call the police, who will do an arrest that hits the papers
which makes you famous which gives you a role in a movie where you are seen
by someone from B&N who remembers your email to them and will contact you to
solve the problem ?

Far fetched ? So its trying to reach them by informing the readers here.

By the way: did you notice that ALL CAPS italian ranting in several
newsgroups about "SONO 2 *******I ASSASSINI" ? Wrong newsgroups (several),
wrong language, yelling. In short, ignoring common curtesy. That person
landed in my killfile too.

Rudy Wieser

As Rudy said, your mother should have told you
many years ago, "And if all your friends decide to
jump off a cliff are you going to do that, too?"

You're asking people talking about Windows to start
a smear campaign against Barnes and Noble? I have no
sympathy for anyone who pays good money for e-books.
You're just supporting an exploitive business model and
thus making things worse for the rest of us.

You didn't "buy" a Bible. If you'd bought it you'd have
it and you could back it up or read it on any device.
What you apparently did was essentially to rent the
book until such time as B & N takes it back, or your
Nook breaks, or they go out of business and the server
goes down.

For important things pick up the phone and call.
Follow up with an email to a _person_ for record keeping.

Contacting Barnes & Noble Customer Service Center

from paper books to virtual and eBooks. Today, Barnes & Noble sells

Saturday and Sunday.

There are reviews for that bible study ebook, citing
problems with getting it running. Information is available
to tell you not to buy it.

If the ebook document was actually bought from B & N, you're
supposed to be able to connect to the Internet, and
"sync" to your library. Which would put the broken
book back.

That was obviously before you revealed that you intend to make a habit
of abusing the group by posting any old **** here, no matter how off-
topic. What do you plan to post about next? Your squealing car brakes?
The rash on your elbow? What kind of wine to serve with poached quail?

I have already tried your links, and no response.

I might ask why you didn't mention that initially, but then you didn't
mention what model Nook it was or any other pertinent information,
either. As I check back into my archives of this group, I'm reminded
that this is your m.o.

Maybe some public embarrasement might get some "oil on the wheel."

I strongly doubt that anybody from Barnes & Noble reads this newsgroup
or that they would respond if they did.

By the way, I took a minute and looked at the User Community forum, and
I saw no sign of any message about your problem. Are you sure you
posted there?
