Default Problems with windows search

I moved my download folder to my larger Erive and off of my smaller SSD
boot disk. So File Explorer is more or less just pointing to E:\downloads
Now when I search for files in my Download folder search comes back as 'Not
Found' when I know the file is there.
Anyone have any ideas what is going on here?

When I go directly to the E:\downloads folder search works fine.

Any help please?

First try to fix your timezone or set your system time correctly so that
you are with us on this planet. At present you seem to be ahead of
everybody on this planet.

Do this first and then let us know what happens.

In windows explorer, go to the "Download" library, right click and
select properties, select the "location" tab and use the "Find Target"
button to change the location to your new E: drive folder.

This article will illustrate what I have explained above:

I follow the bottom posting convention, I hope that doesn't make the
conversation too confusing.

I should have taken your statement more literally, so my answer was
not on target.

This is my new understanding, you are using the Windows "Search"
functionality to "search" for items in your Download folder, but those
files are not being presented in the search results.

I would say you need to add the new location to the list of folders
which are being indexed by W8. This is a fairly easy and
straight-forward process.

The images and narrative on this page should be explain the process
adequately:
