When I start up in Safe Mode I get this message:
"Press ESC to cancel loading SPTD.sys" http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads/faq How can I make it so that Safe Mode does not even try to load SPTD.sys? I don't want to disable the service on a normal start, just on a Safe Mode boot. Thanks. ju.c |

Asking a question You would better listen and check any answer from people who
want to help You. In this case... Here You can see that spdt.sys is really part of Daemon Tools: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/star...ptd-13477.html Some additional information - almost the same as from Olorin - You can find he http://www.file.net/process/sptd.sys.html ju.c wrote: What service? Maybe that is because you somehow know it's not the cause (which you should say) or you don't know how to find out if it's installed. Safe Mode: Press ESC to cancel loading SPTD.sys
Why do I attract all the fools?
"Here You can see that spdt.sys is really part of Daemon Tools:" I wrote the SPTD manufacturer's FAQ page for anyone who thought I might not know. http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads/faq "http://www.file.net/process/sptd.sys.html" I already know what SPTD is: ""Press ESC to cancel loading SPTD.sys" http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads/faq" I asked how to stop a service from loading during Safe Mode boot. What difference does it make what service? So I asked: "How can I make it so that Safe Mode does not even try to load SPTD.sys? I don't want to disable the service on a normal start, just on a Safe Mode boot." And I get help about the SPTD process? A pointer (those that know what I'm talking about will know the answer): [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\SafeBoot\Minimal] "Michael A. Loginov" wrote in message ... You mistake my answer as rude, when that was not my intent. Sorry for that.
"I don't want to disable the service on a normal start, just on a Safe Mode boot." What does it matter what service? Blocking SPTD is an example. "Olórin" wrote in message ... You are rude, and seem to be unable to ask for help.
Maybe your should pay someone to both fix your problem and put up with you. Some people just don't know how to ask for help, and you are one of them.
