Slip-streamed XP SP2 CD boot error
I thought I'd boot from my slip-streamed XP SP2 CD that I made a while back.
It got so far in bootup, then announced that file "aic78xx.sys" not found, and terminated loading. I'll probably try making a new slipstreamed CD. Bummer. Other than that, any ideas? Pemo -- ,-._|\ / Oz \ Melbourne \_,--.x/ Australia v |

Hi
How did you create your SP2 CD: You can download the SP2 file (266 MBs) from he http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...p/choose.mspx- or if you have a copy of the SP2 CD, you can copy the xpsp2.exe file from that CD onto your hard disk/partition and use that: then follow the directions in the following article to create a slipstreamed XP CD: http://www.msfn.org/articles.php?act...showarticle=49 -- Will Denny MS-MVP Windows Shell/User Please reply to the News Groups "Pemo" wrote in message ... Didn't see OP but here's a nice solution for creating a slipstreamed XP/SP2.
http://www.simplyguides.net/guides/u...ostreamer.html COuld it be that the CD is dirty or scratched? -- Kenny Cargill "Fleabus" wrote in message ...
