Perhaps genuine and helpful users would like to make themselves know to me
and then I wouldn't have to waste my time reading replies to my requests for
help from computer snobs and people with superiority complexes taking the
****.
How sad that instead of doing something interesting they are spending their
time on newsgroups been sarcastic and not helpful at all.
Thank you.

What is the point of having your lament hanging here in
mid-air? There are plenty of helpful replies in this newsgroup!
If you have a problem with a specific thread then please
reply in that thread instead of lodging an unsubstantiated
complaint!

How about f'wits like you ask proper questions.

Perhaps instead of showing off how lazy you are and your sense of entitlement that only your time is important perhaps you can act like an adult so you can stop wasting as many other people's time as you can. This post is a perfect example of lazy, greedy, and selfish post.

And it is "... known to me"

Default Poster's Lament

The trouble is in my short time of using these newsgroups I have had little
help but people insulting me or my software and when reading replies to other
poeple's questions I have notice a high degree of bitcheness and nit-picking
of what poeple write. It is sadly not an isolated issue in one particular
thread.

I must have got the wrong idea. I thought this was for people to help each
other with pc problems. This does happen but there is also a fair degree of
abruptness in some poeple's replies and at times it seems more like a
chatroom. As for wasting my time, I'm sure other people are interested in
other people's questions and their time would be wasted too when reading
these of subject replies just like this one. I think in future I will not
rise to the bait and just try to concentrate on the advise from those users
who believe in helping others.

Of course in a situation like this a sense of tone is lost from a message.
What about emoticons? Then some people just enjoy being confrontational and
rude in relative anonimity. Oh right I'm obviously a complete moron because I
forgot to type a n.

I think I'll put you on my exclusion list!

If you want support with responses of an obligated quality and tenor pay for
it.

If you want free support via Usenet you get what you get. Make use of good
responses and disregard the rest.

These groups are full of individuals who provide excellent and helpful
responses to peoples inquiries free of charge and on there own time.

There are of course going to be those that just want to get a rise by
posting less than helpful material. Yours is an example of just such a post.
;-)

The Self-anointed Moderator helps those that help themselves. And CDO
posters are by definition, not helping themselves.

How sad that instead of doing something interesting they are spending
their time on newsgroups been sarcastic and not helpful at all.
Thank you.

How sad that you are so serious. Now go bugger off and set yourself up
with a REAL newsreader, noob.

Default Poster's Lament

A good starting point would be for you to stop using your
default post trailer (see below). It reveals your negative
attitude and discourages respondents from assisting you.

You're new here, but you want all of us, who have been here for years to
change for you?

Maybe you need to setup your own group!

As for wasting my time, I'm sure other
people are interested in other people's questions and their time

LOL! You can't even read a newsgroup in a proper newsreader, so I
certain that any advise you would have to offer wouldn't be worth sh*t.

Of course in a situation like this a sense of tone is lost from a
message. What about emoticons?

:-p

Then some people just enjoy being
confrontational and rude in relative anonimity. Oh right I'm

No, you are obviously a moron because you post through the CDO
interface. And as for anonimity, we don't know that you are who you
claim you are. For all we know, you could be just acting like a
complete schmuck to sully the name of someone you don't like.

I think I'll put you on my exclusion list!

Add me too! Nothing I like better than making fun of an idiot that is
the only one that can't see it!

Why in hell don't you read the HELP available in Outlook Express
