Default can't get internet from client

Have you run the Internet Connection Wizard and
selected "Connecting through a LAN"?

I havet 2 XP computers connected on network via crossover
cable.

file shareing is working perfectly. host can access
internet but client can not get to internet. on host i
have ticked "allow other network users to connect through
this computer's internet connection".

what do I need to do on the client to make connect to the
internet via the network?

I just wanna say... i'm a kid and i dont really understand a whole lot of the technical stuff u guys r talking about but, all i wanna know is how to do this step by step. i have ran all wizards and nothing is happening. My mom says that it most likely is our modem. so i ask, do u have to have a modem in order to get internet via LAN? and another thing, if i get an ethernet card for my client will this work? I have an ethernet place to insert my LAN cord and its connected to the hub and if i got a card for my client and hooked that up to the hub would that enable internet connection... if not then how do i accomplish this. My file sharing and printer sharing work fine but internet is the problem, btw i dont know if my client has a modem. thank you
