Default Sp2 and Sp1 Networking.

I have two computers in my house. Both identical. I connect the two with
a crossover cable. One has service pack two installed and the other just
service pack one. Will I have to upgrade the other to service pack two for
the network to work properly?

No, the two should talk to one another just fine. TCP/IP is that standard
protocol stack. Windows 3.11, 95, 98, ME, NT, 2K and XP all use it.

No, but I'd do it anyway. I found that networking at my home actually
improved on my XP box after SP2. Network shares that used to take a half
a second or so to open now open instantly. SP2 has a lot of patches that
concern networking.

No (although it's a good idea for other reasons). The two don't
even have to be running the same operating system for the network
to work properly.
