Default trouble with DVD drive in limited user mode

Some apps that need access to DVD drive stop working after I change to a
limited user account.

For nero, they have a special option call "burnrights" that enables all
users to use the drive again.

I have now two other apps that need to use the drive that is still broken:
DVDShrink
and a custom app call juicer3 (video tool)

Rather than trying to fix each app individually, is there one general
solution that would unprotect the DVD drive so that all users can use it?

The reason for running as limited user is to avoid malware, not to limit my
own use of devices!
