Default Windows Search does nor work (ordinal 49 could not be located)

I have installed Windows Search (as part of a recent update) but it does not
index anything. Each time the computer boots, I have a warning message:

"WindowsSearch.exe - Ordinal not found

The ordinal 49 could not be located in the dynamic link library MAPI32.dll"

Waht should I do ?

1. You can try running c:\windows\system32\fixmapi.exe from the command line.

2. Uninstall Windows search ... I ended up having to uninstall Windows search.

From a previous post by Malke:

This file is associated with the MSN Toolbar. If you uninstalled the
Toolbar, perhaps it did not do so cleanly. Try reinstalling the MSN
Toolbar if you like it, or uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs if you
don't use it.

For more questions about the MSN Toolbar, contact MSN tech support or
look at their Help site.
