Default SP2 losing drivers

I am retyping my message as there were a lot of typos in the last one.

My problem is that SP2 is not installing or losing drivers that have
been installed

. A program called, Midi Yoke" installs, sets the parameters and Windows
says I must reboot to install the drivers. After rebooting, the drivers are
not loaded and no reason given why this has not occurred. I used Midi Yoke
extensively under XP, but it seems useless under SP2

The commercial driver for the Delta 4x4 midi interface is sometimes not
loaded. SP2 loses it. I must unplug the device and plug it in again to get
it to reinstall the drivers.

Mark;
Check with the manufacturer for SP-2 compatibility.
Get and install the latest Windows XP drivers.

I read somewhere that SP2 blocks the installation of non-compliant drivers
where as SP1 just raised a warning about instability.

Either can block or warn. Look in System in Control Panel (hardware tab)
