system restore

hi i'm having problems with system restore it wont start
or shut down it tells me system restore is not able to
protect your computer please restart your computer and
run again i try but nothing happens itry to shut it down
it tells me system restore encountered an error trying to
enable/disable one or more drives please restart your
machime and try again still nothing please help marcel
