Default Does XP track your data?

norton and many other tools have some standardized "empty
space" wiper that can set every empty byte on the hard
disk to your chosen fill char, FFFF is a good choice to
set all bits "on". This will break the undelete softwares
and such. However magnetic traces of the files can still
exist. I have seen one article that says to grind the
platters down to the glass with a find sandpaper. How
paranoid are you? I am fairly sure that using the fill
wiper 10 or more times in a row is more than sufficient.
However, if you are doing shady / tabloid stuff, you will
be caught and fed to the press. They are the best
investigators in the world.

Is it possible for professional hardcore guys to look

into your computer and
see old stuff you might've had on it at one time before

you deleted it? If
I ever run for president, I dont want someone nailing me

with some old porn
pop-ups or something. LOL.... no seriously tho- How can

you THOUROUGHLY
clean your system from old crap without formatting and

reinstalling? What
are the hidden 'secrets' I should know about so I can go

in and clean those
as well??? Thanks for any tips...
