change user on opening screen
When originally set up, user name x was applied. I need
to change the user name to Y. I changed it in the user accounts file, now x no longer exists. However, the opening screen still says "user name: x." How do I change that? (This is relevant because I must use work-related software that adopts my user name, x, but my workplace network won't recognize any name other than Y). |

All of the files and folders for that account will still retain the old user name. You will need to copy the current profile to a new profile with the user name you wish to use. Once this is done, you can delete the old user profile. See Kelly's website for instructions on how to accomplish this.
