"Internet Explorer Script Error"
I upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP last week and,
after a few problems and help from Microsoft Technical Support, the system worked well. I then "activated" XP and was immediately sent a system update to install "service pack 2". This I did and, since then, whenever I log on to the internet I get an "Internet Explorer Script Error" window appear at least 3 times as soon as I get to my home page. My ISP is Compuserve. The only thing I have tried is to download the latest version of Internet Explorer, this started and then told me I already had the latest version loaded. If anyone else has experienced this problem, and resolved it, I would appreciate your help. Regards, Steve |

"Internet Explorer Script Error"
As this is the pages fault and not yours it's simply a matter of turning this
error reporting feature off. With your IE open click tools\internet options\advanced tab and then put a check mark in "Disable Scipt Debugging(Internet Explorer)" and the next line for "(other)" and then uncheck "Display a notification about every script error". That will do it for you. These are tools for web page and site designers and really should never have been set up as default the way MS has them. {]:~) |
