Default start up troubles

In my system configuration utility, under startup tab. there’s an item that is blank but for the location it says software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run and that’s it. I think that's causing windows to start up slow, and it was the cuz of having my system 32 folder open every time windows started. how do I get rid of it????? help help!!!

Hi,

Yes, it's most likely causing the \system32 window to pull up. Here's what
you do: Click start/run, type regedit and click ok. Expand the branches by
clicking the plus (+) signs to reach this key:

HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run

Now click on the run key, then look in the right pane for a string value
that is blank. Click on that string, then hit the delete key. Agree to the
warning to finish. Now close the registry editor and try rebooting the
machine.
