Default windows XP won't save to disc?

hello
OS - win xp home sp 2
win will no longer save to a disc even though Sonics Recordnow can do it.
please offer some repair suggestions for windows.

Like saving a SP2 download to a cd....Simply R.click the folder,select,move to
cd.....

One way is to make a change to the registry during installation or startup.

Perhaps Recordnow disabled the Windows functionality.
..........i took your hint and found a solution by going to cd properties and
unchecking the DLA box which puts windows back in action and sets Sonics
aside.....it all works just fine now!!
