One account for all things Microsoft
When you set up your Microsoft account across your devices and services,
the things that matter most to you – like people, documents, photos, and settings – follow you on whatever devices you're using. Your Microsoft account lets you flow freely from task to task and make the most of every moment. It not only gives you access to Microsoft services, but also makes them work together in a way that's all about you. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/account/default.aspx That's exactly what works for me, with just one exception, and that is Microsoft Answers http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us I've been told that site is "on a different platform". See ... http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/f...2bf588b?page=2 "The Answers site is a completely different platform" (Mike Laughlin) https://social.technet.microsoft.com...rum=reportabug -- I still get this hinky feeling! Just can't shake it off. |

How odd that you didn't recognize the name of the star lead in the film called 'The Net'! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Net_(1995_film) Nobody is interested in your paranoic stalking of Microsoft forums. You should give it up. The thing is, all is NOT as it should be. :-( Just recently I concocted a persona on LinkedIn, just as anyone can. LinkedIn then asked if it could find friends for me and asked for my email address. I supplied my David Dewgud 'Outlook.com' address and a search was duly made. Imagine my surprise when it found all of the contacts from my original BD @ hotmail.co.uk address which I've used for nearly 20 years. Perhaps you, or someone else reading here, can explain that? |

This is the most stupidest thing I have read here. Microsoft has never cancelled anybody's account without a reason and the valid reasons are generally not abiding with the TOS. You also need to login at least once using the browser interface within a certain time but this is so long (about 9 months to 12 months) so I can't believe this could be the reason with you considering you are jobless idiot with plenty of time to waste on the web. The proper term is 'closed' not cancelled. Accounts can be closed by the end-user or MSFT. Not all account closures are due to TOS violations. Accounts can be temporarily suspended for a variety of reasons, sometimes leading to closure. To prevent account expiration due to inactivity the MSFT account must be accessed (via Web UI, or application local installed mail software using EAS, DeltaSync[1], or 3rd party email service pulling via IMAP, (e.g. Gmail or Yahoo or isp web IU), or logon to other MSFT email account included online services, or use of the MSFT email account as a logon account for Win8x/10. -- ....winston msft mvp consumer apps |

Are you posting with 11 different 'nyms' on the Microsoft Answers groups? Using 'socks' in other words? For once in your life, BE HONEST! Btw, does everyone on this group know that you are the Moderator of the User2User group at Annexcafe? You COULD put this link in your signature he http://www.annexcafe.com/homepage.cf...eral.user2user I've often wondered why you don't publicize this fact on the Answers group either. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/p...le-tab-profile Are you ashamed of being connected with that particular server - or it's owner? Forgot the footnote [1] [1] DeltaSync will cease to be a functional mail protocol for any MSFT account in the near future (after MSFT moves the Outlook.com services to the Office365 server - O365 server only supports EAS, IMAP, and POP3 - though the latter may be on a very short lease. Outlook.com applies to all types of MSFT accounts (Outlook.com, Live.com, Hotmail.com, MSn.com, Aliases of those same accounts, and any 3rd party email address including its aliases registered as a MSFT account using the available Outlook.com UI Send and/or Receive feature) -- ....winston msft mvp consumer apps |
