You don't.
There is NO DOS in WinXP, only an emulator that runs under XP..

Default adding ms-dos to boot.ini

You will need dos install to a fat partition on your hard drive and then add this option as an OS
choice:
C:\="MS-DOS".

Do a search of the Microsoft site or Google for things like Dual Boot for complete instructions.
