Default Content indexing service

this service takes up most of my processing power and
causes the cooling fan on my portable to run 100% of the
time. Not good.
Any ideas on how to stop this? If I stop the process,
the processor goes to about 5% which is normal.

I have searched the knowledge base but had no luck.

Anyone??
Thanks
RobertJ.

Go to Control Panel|Administrative Tools|Services
Sort by Name, find Indexing services and disable it. Reboot and life will
be easier.
