pulldown menu problem

i having problems with my pulldown menues, when i press
it they show the options for less than a second and then
hide again, specialy the import pull down in word, exel,
corel and illustrator, and some others, not all of them
do this...is this a virus or a glitch of the programs?
please e-mail me some HEL:P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
