Scheduled tasks don't run if I'm not logged in
XP/Home
I have several scheduled tasks which work fine if I'm logged in. But they never run if I'm not. For example, I'd like a full virus scan to run at midnight. But it always shows up with a status of "Missed". I have checked "Wake the computer to run this task" on the "Settings" tab. Is it possible to get scheduled tasks to run if you are not logged in? |

Scheduled tasks don't run if I'm not logged in
If you goto control panel-Scheduled tasks-Advanced -View log,
notepad opens up. Check if there were any errors encountered. Were those tasks created by you using the wizard ??? If the tasks were created by some other means there is a flag ( which is not displayed in UI) that will run only when the user is logged ON. If this was the case, try creating a new task with same executable/user name/password and it will be created without this flag. -- -Mani.
