Default XP updates/server trouble

-----Original Message-----
I just did an update which consisted mostly of security
updates for XP. Several updates were successfully loaded
from web. (My first update on a new dell I bought in
Jnauary.)I had to restart to activate updates but now
have a glitch. A box with picture of my computer hooking
to a server comes up (as it usually does)for my PPPoE
Connection for my DSL SBC connection manager. But it will
not hook up nor can I cancel it off the screen. can
anyone help? thanks patti
.
CTRL-ALT-DEL and sop the process to PPPoE, check out

TCPIP properties for network card, wnsre all IP's are
correct. If running DHCP, ipconfig -all and find gate way
address, pring gateway. ipconfig /release,
ipconfig /renew from DOS window mau help, good luck!
