two usb 2.0 drives cannot work together
Hi,
I've been experiencing the problem for a long time. The symptoms are the following: - I plug in my USB2.0 HDD, everything works ok - I plug in my card reader with a card, it work ok, but usb HDD stops working. It looks like it is still present, but I cannot browse any directories except for those that have been opened when the HDD was working (probably cached). After some time, windows begins to report errors like "Delayed write on hdd_letter failed, yaddah yaddah". The card reader works without any problems. - I plug out the card drive and hdd, plug in hdd again, hdd works I noticed the same behaviour with my USB TV card. Joystick does not cause this issue. I have service pack 2 installed, generally the latest updates as well. I tried to install usb2.0 driver from my motherboard cd, but it did not solve the problem. If you have any idea how to deal with this issue, I'll be very happy. Thanks, |
