!!!Please help, windows boot up screen
Hi,
My LCD monitor won't display anything below 640*480. So during the startup of windows xp, the monitor will show "out of range" . Is there any way to increase the resolution of windows boot screen? Even the bios self-test screen has the resolution 640*480. thanks |

Is there any way to increase the resolution of windows boot screen? Even the bios self-test screen has the resolution 640*480. thanks Why would you want to run a resolution below 640 x 480 on an LCD? Most LCDs have a native resolution that they need to run at, and I've never seen one at 640 x 480, much less a lower resolution. As far as the out of range, it's probably not the resolution, because while other resolutions will run, they will just look bad. It's probably the refresh rate that's the problem. Easiest would be to temporarily set up a regular monitor until everything's adjusted. Otherwise you're going to have to set things up in safe mode, and you might not have access to refresh rates in the video settings in safe mode. Depends on your video card, of course. |
