display pictures or movies on home projector from lap top
Hi. I am trying to get my computer to show my photos. I can see the desk
top background, but that is it. I can not get the computer to find the new desctop either. |

Please clarify your problem...for example, what do you mean by 'new desktop'?
If you have attached a projector to your PC, you should be able to run you applications, etc., from the PC using the mouse and keyboard just as always. Please explain what you've done and what your problem is. Thanks. Mark Johnson wrote: Hi. I am trying to get my computer to show my photos. I can see the desk top background, but that is it. display pictures or movies on home projector from lap top
Hi. I will learn to speak one day. I meant to say my computer can not find
new hardware. It can not tell I have hooked my projector to the computer. I used a monitor cable to do this. All I can see from the projector is my back ground of the desk top, there is no mouse and nothing changes. When I am in the display section of the control panel I can click the identify button and the number 1 comes on the computer and 2 is on the projector. I am not sure if that is where I do this or not. I would like to do as you say and use the projector as my computer screen and or view movies and or pictures also. Thanks for your help. It sounds like you have set the "monitor" to EXTEND the desktop, instead
of clone the Desktop. Please go to Start, Help and Support, Look up "multiple monitors", and read the instructions. Mark Johnson wrote: Hi. I will learn to speak one day. I have the same problem: With my laptop hooked up to the projecto, all the
projector shows is the desktop wall paper (no Icons) no matter what is on the laptoop screen. I have not been able to find anything but "Extend the desktop" (no "clone" or "mirror" the desk top). Could some one be more specific? "Bob I" wrote: It sounds like you have set the "monitor" to EXTEND the desktop, instead of clone the Desktop. Please go to Start, Help and Support, Look up "multiple monitors", Pick
"View the same desktop in multiple monitors" and read the instructions.
