Default problem with DHCP

may sound stupid but have you got the latest drivers?

I had a problem like this and downloading the latest
drivers sorted it....

-----Original Message-----
DHCP will not assign ip address to the clients on the
network. What would be the cause? Using XP Pro and
entering ipconfig at the command prompt, it says "media
not connected". The network is using Netgear's 24 port
switch FSM726S.

What is the problem?
