Default display & words are blurred

I have windows xp. My screen is a beautiful blue but
objects and words are blurred and words have a smear look
to it. Please help? TX

Sounds like you have a hardware issue (just had the same thing happen last
week to me). To make sure that you have a hardware issue, when you reboot
your system, is the monitor still blurry? You could also try hooking up
your monitor to another system and see if the problem still persists. If
it does, you may need to replace your monitor. If not, try booting your
system into safe mode or VGA Mode (Pressing F8 on bootup) if the picture is
crisp, then you will want to update the drivers for your video card.
