find lots of info.

Default How to rip and burn a DVD

hi christina, perhaps this may help more. two ways that i know of are 1)feed
off torrent sites(punch in torrent sites in ur browser)this will give u a
multitude of movie options, pesonally i use an uploader(person who puts movie
files on web), called AXXO(browser again) great dvd rips by the way, then
download onto a client,(there are a few), i use BITLORD, once its downloaded
open dvd burning software,(i use nero7) and burn...very easy. 2)By using
newsreaders and newsgroups( info. all over web) more complicated way but much
faster. good luck.

Default How to rip and burn a DVD

Basically Microsoft Corporation was NOT Burning DVDs..only CDs..you needed a
second software application called VIDEO EDITING and AUTHORING Software..I
think the Media Edition has added the DVD-burning feature..BUT..there are two
formats for BLANK Media../there is a PLUS(+)Blank Disk..and there is a
DASH(-)Blank Disk..these Disk Formats are matched to your BURNER-drive..the
latest Drives contain BOTH(formats..)..but you need to check this
property..then its a matter of the software recognizeing the Burner Drive..if
you place a BLANK into the Drive..it should APPEAR in the Software that will
add a FILE to it..then its a matter of having compatible
FILE-extensions..Video uses a
DV....DV-avi....mpeg2....wmv....mp3....wma...and some others..DATA can be
COPIED to a BLANK in many FILE-extensions.....wma...wmv...jpg...txt....Video
File...DV....mpeg2----mp3....
You need to understand what you want to do:
Video for watching on a TV-set useing a DVD-Home-Player..??
or a PC-file....??..or you want to have a compatible file to further EDIT
your FILE..
.................................................. .................................................. ..................
MY COMPUTER should show an ICON for the DVD-burner Drive..
if you place a BLANK into the Burner TRAY and the ICON in MY COMPUTER does
not reveal a format and DISK SPACE..you haver a software problem..if you
remove the BLANK Media and the Burner DRIVE seems to return to a normal
state/you have a software problem..
.................................................. .................................................. ....................
that's about it..
I use ROXIO software....for DVD-video Editing and Burning..I dropped NERO
because its to complicated..
RAM and CPU is very critical for VIDEO Movies..
Pentium 4 is the minimum Processor for VIDEO/and 400MHz RAM is a must..
I have read that 2.8GHz P4 is a minimum...I have a 3.0GHz P4 Processor..and
I use 1-GB of 400MHz(PC3200)RAM Modules made by KINGSTON technologies..2 x
512 MBs for TOTAL RAM-1GB..
My Video work also requires a Digital Sound Card w/Firewire
IEEE1394..CREATIVE Audigy 2ZS..
.................................................. .................................................. ....................
XP Home Edition SP2 as minimum..
I use the XP Professional SP2..and my PC only has the CREATIVE Sound Card
and the ROXIO software installed..nothing else..
I use a second PC to SURF the internet..and that PC also does the STILL
Image Slide Shows(jpg)..and audio stuff..
.................................................. .................................................. ....................
Use ARCHIVE HDD..external HDs for storage..keep MY DOCUMENTS in a CLEAN
state..
.................................................. .................................................. ....................
Defrag....every day....
.................................................. .................................................. ....................
and for what I do in Digital Media.....
My PC lastsd about 3-Projects...and then my OS is shot to pieces.

"anydvd" made by sly soft just install and open before you put in any dvd
and it will let you rip and burn with any dvd burner such as roxio 9 however
most of the time this is breaking the law so use at your own riks and
liability!!!!!
