blank screen
If left idle, Windows XP goes to blank screen instead of
screen saver. I've tried different screen savers, but nothing works. Any ideas? |

There is a Power button on the Screensaver screen which turns off the monitor, hard drive or goes to standby. The Screensaver does not turn off the monitor but sends a pattern to it even if you choose Blank Screen. It you have the power setting turning off the monitor before the time set in the Screensaver, the Screensaver will never start. The Power setting is preferable because it actually runs the monitor at reduced power to save electricity. -- Earl F. Parrish |
