Default Removal of Unwanted Progs

hi,
i am trying to remove a prog which is not listed in the 'add/remove' menu -
i remember previously seeing a post which gave a 'cmd' file which enabled
you to make any prog visible within the 'add/remove' list.

any clues would be appreciated

cheers

You seem to refer to "Adding Optional Components to Add/Remove
Programs Tool" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=223182). However,
this will only add some Windows components but no third-party
applications. To remove them manually, delete the files and folders
that belong to the program and then scan the Registry for the name of
the application and the folder where it resided to delete references
that are now useless.
You can alternatively use the jv16 Power Tools
(http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/index.php) for this, but you should not
delete things from the Registry from which you do not know what they
are to avoid problems with your Windows installation.
Alternatively: if an remove entry was avaialble in the Control Panel
before, reinstall the program on top of the existing files. This will
bring the entry back so that you can delete the application as usual.
