F key doesn't work in windows, but I can use it in my Windowspassword?!
My windows password (aFter locking the machine, or when starting up)
contains the letter F. This works Fine. I can also type it in here, or in any program iF it's a capital F. But the lower case F is not Functional, even though it's ok in the password. What on earth is going on? |

Hey Mr Knife, why don't you use a knife and remove the key to see if the connection is blocked by dirt from your dirty hands. You really need to wash your hands regularly especially after going to toilet. or when using a computer with Windows 10!!!!!!!!!!!!1. -- With over 950 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

I already explained that it works when the shiFt is pressed, and works perFectly normally entering the windows password, so it's clearly not a keyboard problem. Try again. |

It doesn't prove anything "clearly" as you put it. If you can't afford a new keyboard then steal one from your neighbour and try it. If it doesn't work then return it back so that your neighbour doesn't report you to the police. Try again. Tried above. I won't try again because you are an "Askhole" If you don't know the meaning of this word then use Bing or Google to read about it. -- With over 950 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

Bull****. Utter bull****. The F ALWAYS works entering my Windows password. Once logged in and the screen unlocked, I can NEVER use the lower case F in ANY application. Something which runs only when actually at the desktop is stopping that key. |

This link that Paul previously posted will have things sorted in short order. https://www.ghacks.net/2010/06/06/th...ard-remapping/ Just map the lowercase 'f' back to "f", like it belongs, and you're golden. Or, use one of the programs described there to simply reset all of the keyboard mappings back to your defaults. Either way should work equally well. |

I'd prefer to know why it broke in the first place. By the way it's not currently doing it, seems to be every other day. Must be a dodgy piece of software I should be deleting. |

So shut the computer and join the Taliban or IS fighters. (IS stands for Islamic State assuming it exists on this planet. just for your info as you are another idiot on this newsgroup) When you have finished with them or when they have finished with you, come back and all the APPS will have been fixed. It's clear already that something stops it working only in certain circumstances. A hardware fault would stop me entering my password. |
