Deleteing Network Connection
Sorry for the confusion, Steve. Yes it's in Network Connections, but I get
there from My Network Places. Anyway, your suggestion to remove the adaptor did the trick. Thanks. "Steve Winograd" wrote in message ... In article , "Greg" wrote: I have an unused Network Connection under My Network Places and would like to delete it. When I right click on the particular connection the 'Delete' option is grayed out. I've disabled the connection so it's not in use or anything. Why can't I delete it? Is there another way to get rid of it? Thanks. I think that you're referring to something in the "Network Connections" folder, not in "My Network Places". You can't delete a LAN connection directly. Instead, go to Device Manager and un-install the network adapter that the connection uses. If that doesn't help, please reply to this message in the news group (not by E-mail) with more information to help other people understand the problem. For example: What type of connection is it? What's its name? What do you see if you right click it and click Properties? What does it show for "Connect using"? -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions addressed directly to me in E-mail or news groups. Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Program http://mvp.support.microsoft.com |
