Hookup is lokng for the phone line; I thought the
printer/fax is hooked up through the system; am I right
or wrong.

The printer/fax is to be connected to your computer. However, if you
actually want to send or receive a fax, you will have to connect the
printer/fax to a phone line. Check the instructions that came with the
machine or at the machine-maker's web site.

When you sya phone line, do you mean only dial-up or can
this printer fax work with DSL?
