Default Entering password fields.

Browsers (Chrome, Edge) use the autofill function
partially when filling in password fields.
In my case the first 3 characters are autofilled.

How do I turn this off fully for password fields?

For Chrome:

3 dot vertical bar in upper right corner Settings Passwords and you can
manage the settings from there.

For Edge:

3 dot horizontal bar in upper right corner Settings on left side
Passwords & autofill and manage the settings from there.

I have not allowed the 'saved passwords' on
sensitive sites, but still the first 3 characters
show up in their password fields. If I disable
the 'saved passwords' then I lose all autofill.

Use Firefox and you can pick and choose which sites save you password...

Peter,

As I said you can Manage the passwords from those menu's. On the right of
each site address you see in the Password list, there are 3 vertical bars
(Chrome) where you can edit the details or remove the entries. You can see
if the password is 3 characters by clicking on the eyeball icon (net to the
3 dots) and if you have a Chrome account, you need to enter the password to
unlock the password list.

I don't have a Win10 system fired up at the moment so I can't access Edge to
verify it's procedure but it should be similar.

Seeing only the first 3 characters is sorta weird but are you using any
other software that keeps password listings?
