Why do you care? Good Guy *never* has important
news or even relevant posts. And he's proclaimed in
the past that it's one of his perverse missions to make
people see his HTML. Apparently he doesn't realize
that most of us see his posts as plain text.

If you don't like his style, just ignore it. Or block
his posts. Then the rest of us who already block
his posts won't have to read complaints about them.

For plain-text messages, just use Courier. You do NOT need new fonts.

For plain-text messages, just use Courier. You do NOT need new fonts.

For plain-text messages, which includes most newsgroups, there is NO
font; not even Courier. In your local software, you decide what font to
use to view them - Courier or another monospaced font is a good choice -
but it is not a "font for the newsgroup"; there is no such thing.

I have HTML turned off on this newsreader/mail client. HTML does not
render because I have set my system to not have it render. He can do
what he likes, I won't see it. A major reason why I moved from Google
Groups to Thunderbird and Eternal September was so that I could kill
HTML posts.

I also have him blocked. A major reason why I went to the trouble of
moving to Thunderbird and using Eternal September rather than using
Google Groups was precisely so that I could killfile annoyances.

He hits two for two; if he hadn't been blocked for HTML, he would be
because he is a deliberate annoyance.
