If you are unwilling to introduce the video, I'm unwilling to waste time

I thought so too. I was almost more intrigued with the guys setup for
testing. Lazy Susan amongst other things.

I thought that was great. Also the kitchen sink and the wine bottle in
the background. :-)

So this Susan is doing something with a wine
bottle in the kitchen sink? I hope for your sake
that she's at least over 18.

TL;DW. Summary please?

It's a demonstration on how to debug a computer
that is unceremoniously shutting down and/or resetting.

If a system always shuts down, it could be PROCHOT
(no thermal paste).

If a system resets at least part of the time due to the
problem, it could be related to a reset issue of some sort.
It could also be a code problem, where the ACPI "power button"
is being triggered. (Which might be bad RAM. Hard to say.)
You can also have crashes that don't trap, and instead
the machine resets.

And reversing the roles of the reset and power buttons
is standard practice for this sort of thing. It helps
you spot and verify, which switch is acting up.

No reset button on here though (Dell desktop machine)? Seemed the
tech was very familiar with the case & hardware setup.

If so, then you have "one less thing to debug".

I keep a spare momentary contact (normally open) switch with contacts
on it, for motherboard headers. And I can replace the
chassis switch with my spare switch, for proof testing.
