1) If you try to use a single cartridge, it will tell you that you cannot.
This is because some magenta ink is always used to make the black look 'blacker'. 2) Ensure you have installed the new color cartridge correctly, removed any tape etc. Check your printer manual for exact install instructions. If it still comes back with an error, it may be a bad cartridge. -- Cari MS-MVP Windows Technologies - Printing/Imaging/Hardware www.coribright.com "tonie" wrote in message ... cartrige light keeps flashing, error with the colour cartrige, but it is full. my printer is an HP. now i want to uninstall the colour printer cartridge and use black only, but light keeps flashing |

Canon have acknowledged they have received my invoice and that I will receive my refund as soon as possible (whatever that means). In the meantime, I've £360-worth of printer that's about as much use as a door stop at the moment! I know why you moved to the US now - you wanted to save money on your computer stuff! Blessed Be, Cerri I guess that could be one reason. The husband of course was the other one! I paid $229 for my i950. Refurbished, they're now $129. That hurts too! Hope your postman delivers something nice soon. And you might be able to get a nice new i9900: http://www.usa.canon.com/html/conCpr...e ction=10214 Sigh..... as soon as you get something computer orientated these days, a new model is released the next week. A never-ending cycle. One week old and it's out of date. I paid $159 for my 4x Pioneer A06 DVD burner in December. Now I could get someone else's 8x for $99. -- Cari MS-MVP Windows Technologies - Printing/Imaging/Hardware www.coribright.com |

A never-ending cycle. One week old and it's out of date. I paid $159 for my 4x Pioneer A06 DVD burner in December. Now I could get someone else's 8x for $99. I paid £75 for an OEM Pioneer 8x 107D not six weeks ago. And, yes, the whole idea is to get a 9950 (the European model number). He's going to have to deliver me a new Switch card first. NatWest sent me a new one back in March to replace the current one (which was due to expire at the end of April). Well, by the middle of April I'd not received anything and I was becoming a little concerned so, as I was going into town that day, I popped into the bank to ask where it was. They told me to wait another week or so and come back if it hadn't appeared. It hadn't, so I went back and was advised it would be best to cancel it as it was probably lost and, obviously, fraud was an issue. The cashier cancelled it and ordered me a new one. Then what should appear the day after it expired (1st May)? I wasn't impressed to say the least. I have complained to Royal Mail (I've been told that it will take up to six weeks for a reply, so I'm not going to hold my breath) and have demanded compensation from all three - Royal Mail, NatWest and Canon (not that any will pay up, obviously. I have lost all faith in any company or service admitting they were wrong and taking full responsibility). I've now waited over a fortnight for the replacement of the replacement. NatWest even have the expiry date of the replacement as 07/04 - i.e. a couple of months, when it should be 04/07 (this was the date on the cancelled card). GRR! I used to bank with HSBC but closed my account when they started charging me someone else's unauthorise overdraft fee - that's £30 a transaction. It took me three years to get them to compensate me and give me a refund. They never actually apologised. NatWest advertises itself as "another way". Yep, another way to the same destination - high blood pressure and a tension headache! Whoops - never meant this to be a rant! Blessed Be, Cerri |
