Default Print Spooler Setup

After hading some printer problems on our system (Windows
2000 server & Windows XP workstations), I now cannot
print from 3 stations due to the fact that the "spooler"
is not set up. I ahve tried evrything that seems logical
in an attempt to remedy this but amk completely at a
loss. Can anyone offer some advice?

Check the System Event Log on the three failing stations for entries related
to printing or spooler.

You can start the spooler using the command:

net start spooler

However, if the spooler keeps stopping, most likely there is a "bad" printer
driver installed.

See http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/Clea...erDrivers.htm, then make sure
only Windows XP printer drivers are installed.

Be aware that some Windows 2000 printer drivers might install, but won't
work properly on Windows XP. So, you might want to make sure you have
drivers for "2000 and XP" ("Version 3" drivers) on the Windows 2000 server,
if it is acting as a print server.

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
